Like You Once You Did To Me

I wrote this poem after the bitter ending of my last relationship. The inspiration for this poem came out of a very dark and angered place. I hope you enjoy.

Like You Once Did To Me
by Alec Albor

I wish I’d launch myself at you
attack you where you stand
Just knock you down onto the ground
Your face gripped in my hands.
I wish that I could make you feel
the ache you caused to me
And make you taste the bitterness
of endless suffering.
It seems you try to ignore me
in every way you can
Pretending as if I were dead
You know how weak I am.
For this, I long to defeat you
like you once did to me
Pull your heart out through your mouth
and watch you slowly bleed.
